How can I access Take Meds Now?
Take Meds Now can be accessed via your desktop or laptop computers through any web browser by using the following link: takemedsnow.com. Take Meds Now can be downloaded in the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store (Android) on your IOS (Apple) or Android mobile device.
How do I know what type of device I am using?
Take Meds Now can be accessed on computers, including desktops and laptops, as well as mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. You can use any web browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer) to access the web version of the application.
If you are trying to access Take Meds Now on a tablet or a smartphone, you will need to go to the App Store (iOS/Apple devices) or the Google Play Store (Android devices) and search for Take Meds Now. You can then download the app to your device and use your login credentials (email address and password) upon opening the application.
If you are not sure what type of device you have, you can navigate to your device settings and locate the “About Device” page. This should tell you the operating system used by your device (either iOS, Android, etc.). Both iOS and Android devices are currently supported by Take Meds Now.
What versions of iOS (Apple) and Andriod does the Take Meds Now mobile app support?
The Take Meds Now Mobile App supports the following:
iOS (Apple) Versions 9.3.5 and newer.
Andriod Versions 4.0.1 and newer.
How do I enter my prescription medications?
Take Meds Now offers you the ability to enter, edit, delete, and manage your prescription medications through the Manage Medications page. Just sign into your Take Meds Now account and click on the Manage Medications link.
Can I track non-prescription medications as well as prescription medications?
The Take Meds Now application provides you with the ability to manage any and all type of medications; including both over the counter (OTC) and prescription medications. Each drug can be entered in the Manage Medications page in your Take Meds Now account.
Can I edit my prescription and non-prescription medications once they are entered into Take Meds Now?
Yes, you can edit, delete, and add to your existing prescription and non-prescription medications at any time through the Manage Medications page of your Take Meds Now account.
What if I accidentally deleted, or have deleted and now have to re-enter a medication I was previously on?
Any medication you enter into Take Meds Now via the Manage Medications screen can be both Inactivated and Reactivated. Any active medication can be Inactivated through the Actions column, which will remove that medication from your medication alerts and Manage Medications screen. If you wish to Reactivate a medication, select the “Include Inactivated” option on the Manage Medications screen, find the medication you wish to Reactivate, and select Reactivate in the Actions column. This will return that medication to your medication alerts and Manage Medications screen.
How do I receive Medication Alerts using Take Meds Now?
For each medication you enter into the Manage Medications page of your Take Meds Now account, you will receive an automated reminder sent to any device you choose. In order to select a device that you wish to receive notifications on, download and/or sign into the Take Meds Now application on that device, and modify your alert settings via the Settings page.
Can I give access to my account to a family member, friend, or caregiver?
Yes, there is the ability for you to sign up multiple family members or friends and provide them with either visibility or visibility and edit permissions to your Take Meds Now account through the Profile page. You will need to enter the name, relationship, and email address for that family member or friend in order to give them access to your Take Meds Now account. Please note that additional charges may apply.
Why should I give access to my account to a family member, friend or caregiver?
Providing a family member/friend either visibility or visibility and/or edit permissions to your Take Meds Now account can help offer you and your family peace of mind. This is a great way to strengthen your support network, get help with your prescription medications, ensure that you continue to properly adhere to your short and long-term medication therapies, and take greater control for your personal health.
Can I give access to my account to my doctor?
Yes, there is the ability to provide visibility into your Take Meds Now account to your doctor. You can give this access through the Profile page of your Take Meds Now account. Please note that the doctor must both have a Take Meds Now account and accept your invitation in order to see your Take Meds Now profile. If you attempt to connect your profile to a doctor or caregiver to your account, and they do not have their own account, we will send them an invitation to join on your behalf. There is absolutely no fee related to this feature of our service.
Why should I give access to my account to my doctor?
Providing a doctor with visibility into your Take Meds Now account can help improve your overall healthcare. Take Meds Now can help bridge the communications gap with your doctors and caregivers by keeping them updated on how you are doing with your prescription drug therapies. This can help lead to more targeted follow-ups and more informed prognoses and treatment courses.
Does Take Meds Now share my information with any 3rd parties?
Take Meds Now takes your privacy very seriously. We only provide access to your account to the individuals you approve (i.e. any family, friends, doctors, or caregivers that you expressly give consent and access into your Take Meds Now account). At no time can any other outside party, including our own employees, see any of your personal information. We encrypt all data in our database and employ cutting edge security measures to ensure that your data stays private.
We do, however, provide access to aggregated, non-identifiable statistical information to certain 3rd parties who have their own Take Meds Now account. This may include organizations such as healthcare associations, pharmaceutical companies, and insurance companies who have access to high level, aggregated demographic information such as locational, age, sex, ethnicity, etc. At no time are these account types provided with information that can be used to identify any individual Take Meds Now user. Take Meds Now maintains compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
